How a session works
What to expect from start to finish
Nothing about hijama should feel uncertain. Here is exactly how a visit runs.
1. Assessment
We take your history — the complaint, its duration, medication, and any conditions such as anaemia, diabetes or blood-thinner use — before deciding whether hijama is appropriate.
2. Point planning
Cupping points are selected from documented sunnah and clinical point maps for your specific concern, not a one-size template.
3. The session
The area is cleaned and sterilised, sterile single-use cups are applied, and controlled superficial incisions are made only where wet cupping is indicated.
4. Aftercare
Dressing, hydration and rest guidance, plus nutrition advice and a suggested review date if a follow-up cycle is needed.
Our standards
- • Single-use, disposable cups and blades for every wet cupping session.
- • Sharps disposed of in a dedicated container after each patient.
- • Surfaces, linens and equipment sanitised between appointments.
- • Gloves changed per patient; therapist follows standard hygiene protocol.
- • Honest suitability screening — we decline sessions when they aren't advisable.
